APEDF’s Vision
APEDF is organizing to open Uhuru Furniture & Collectibles stores throughout the world, build African economic and cultural marketplaces and create spin-off businesses and services. These all contribute to community commerce and African economic self-reliance which can feed, clothe, house and employ our people.
While black communities across the U.S. experience growing poverty, unemployment, incarceration and repression, Uhuru Furniture is building African self-reliance and creativity to build a positive future by and for the African community. Uhuru Furniture & Collectibles stores provide employment, build leadership and develop skills in marketing, promotions, graphics, merchandising and business development.
